370 Scanning Electrochemical Workstation
The Model 370 Scanning Electrochemical Workstation is a new concept in Scanning Probe Electrochemistry, designed for ultra-high resolution, spatially resolved electrochemical measurements. The Model 370 is a configurable system which will perform all the key Scanning Probe Electrochemical Techniques:

  • Scanning Vibrating Probe Technique (SVP370).
  • Scanning Kelvin Probe (SKP370).
  • Localized Electrochemical Impedance (LEIS370) .
  • Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM370).

SKP370 - Scanning Kelvin Probe Technique

  • Non-Contact, Non-Destructive Surface Work Function Determination
  • Measure and Image Localized Work-Function Difference at the meV Level
  • Quantify Corrosion Potentials in a Variety of Controlled Atmospheres
  • Ideal for Semiconductor, Filliform Corrosion, Sensor, and Paint/Coating Applications
  • Requires 370Base Scanning Controller

SVP370 - Scanning Vibrating Probe Technique

  • Non-Intrusive ac Electrochemical Activity Measurement
  • Sensitivity Achieved Via Phase Sensitive Detection
  • Measure Localized Corrosion Events of less than 5µA/cm2
  • Evaluate Passivation/Repassivation Characteristics
  • Identify and Quantify Electrochemically Active Pin-Hole Coating Defects
  • Requires 370Base Scanning Controller

LEIS370 Localized Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Technique
  • Fixed-Point, Multiple Frequency Measurement
  • Fixed-Frequency, Two Dimensional Scan
  • Fixed-Frequency, Single Line Scan
  • Maximmum Scan Range of 7 x 7 cm
  • System Add-On to Existing EIS Hardware - compatible with multiple hardware configurations
  • Provide Spatially Resolved Electrochemical Impedance Measurements for the Surface Study of Coatings, Corrosion Inhibitors, Localized Corrosion, Biofilms, Delamination Studies, and Scratch Tests
  • Requires 370Base Scanning Controller

SECM370 - Scanning Electrochemical Microscope

The SECM370 is a precision scanning micro-electrode system, which can be used to monitor (or impose) current flowing between a micro-electrode and a specimen surface in solution at extremely high spatial resolutions. It can be used to examine, analyse or alter the surface chemistry of a sample in solution. This equipment has many potential applications in the study of fundamentals of surface reactions for example in corrosion science, or the study of enzyme stabilization and for MEMS.

Isoplot
3D Shaded Surface Rendering Software

ISOPLOT produces 3D plots in the form of shaded surfaces. The data is shaded according to the projected light reflecting from the surface. The Z axis may also be amplitude color shaded in a userdefined color palette.
  • 3D Images of Data Matrices in Excess of 200,000 Points
  • 32 Bit Windows MDI Application
  • Shared Surface Rendering
  • Depth Shading
  • Wire Frame Plots
  • User Controlled Viewing and Light Angles, Light Color and Material Characteristics
  • Split Screen Views

Evironmental Tri-Cell

The Environmental Tri-Cell Systems is desgned for use with Models SP100, SVP100, and SKP100. Its flexible configurations allow the user to change samples without moving the scanning head. The system can be used for controlled atmosphere or flow experiments due to its four inlet/outlet purge ports and optional rubber gaiter sealed cover further enhancing its value to the SRET user.

  • Perform Experiments Under Controlled Atmosphere or Continuous Liquid Flow Via Gas/Liquid Purge Ports
  • Reduced Electrolyte Volumes/ External Level Adjustment
  • Accommodates a Wide Range of Sample Sizes (sheet coupons and 32 diameter metallurgical samples)

MicroTriCell

The MicroTriCell screws directly into the Model 370 Scanning Electrochemical Workstation optical table base, and provides for small samples with low electrolyte volumes and various electrode configurations. It has a PTFE body, and comes with a quartz window to allow optical and viewing access.

  • Easy sample access and connection.
  • External level adjustment.
  • Accommodates a wide range of samples (32mm and non-standard options).

VCAM2 - Probe Positioning Camera
  • Visualizes probe to sample distance on external monitor
  • Camera positioned outside cell compartment
  • Magnification probe to sample distance up to 25 m
  • Calibration ruler inscribed into the glass sealing in front of the CCD chip
  • Extremely easy-to-follow probe movement
