New Focus visible amplitude modulators are specifically designed for high performance at modulation frequencies of up to 200 MHz. The crystals in these modulators are mounted at 45° so that your input
polarization can be either vertical or horizontal. To minimize thermal
birefringence, we use two matched crystals arranged in series.
Available in Visible amplitude, Resonant amplitude and Broadband amplitude models.

This electro-optic modulator driver and source offers user-friendly
operation with our electro-optic modulators. The driver consists of a
frequency source and RF power amplifier in a compact package and is
ideal for use with the New Focus modulators from 50 kHz to 2.0 GHz.
Available in 0.025-1 GHz EOM Driver and Source (VCO-based), 0.05-40 MHz EOM Driver and Source (Synthesized) and 0.045-2 GHz EOM Driver and Source (Synthesized) models.

The Model 3211 is a workhorse amplifier for
driving capacitive loads such as broadband
electro-optic (EO) modulators and piezoelectric
transducers.
The Model 3211 incorporates high-slew-rate, high-voltage operational-amplifier technology to give you extremely precise linear operation over a wide range of input voltages and frequencies. The ±200-V output will swing our broadband EO modulators through 180° of phase shift with bandwidths of up to 0.6 MHz. The peak-to-peak output noise is less than 100 mV in a 1-MHz bandwidth.

The Model 3501 optical chopper provides rock-solid stability and flexibility because its chopping frequency is phase-locked to its own internal frequency synthesizer. It comes complete with four wheels, a wheel cover, and a GPIB (IEEE-488) interface.
Chopper wheels and rack mount kits are also available.

We are pleased to introduce this new line of KTP electro-optic
modulators offering increased optical damage thresholds of more than
five times that of our LiNbO3 modulators. With patented and
patent-pending designs, these modulators achieve high efficiency for
high modulation depths, too. As with all of our modulators, these
modulators have low insertion losses and extremely low unwanted
residual amplitude modulation. And, using them is easy: simply pass the
beam through pre-aligned mechanical apertures for the optimal optical
performance.

Each modulator consists of an electro-optic crystal in a resonant
microwave cavity to ensure efficient phase modulation and low
drive-voltage requirements. A tuning slug allows manual adjustment of
the resonant frequency over a 100-MHz range.
Models available for visible and near-IR applications.

We are excited to introduce this innovative new line of electro-optic
modulators. These new phase modulators incorporate a patentpending
design to achieve twice the efficiency over our popular
standard designs. With low insertion losses and efficient phase modulation
with extremely low unwanted amplitude modulation, this new
line of phase modulators is ideal for a wide variety of demanding
applications. And, using these modulators is easy: simply pass the
beam through pre-aligned mechanical apertures for the optimal
optical performance.

The 6.8-GHz or 9.2-GHz Model 4851 modulators are designed so the
microwave phase velocity and optical group velocity through the crystal
are matched. They are the perfect tools for atom trapping and cooling
experiments involving cesium and rubidium because their resonant
frequencies correspond to the ground-state energy splitting of these
atoms.
IR and near-visible models available.
