We have over ten years of experience in designing and building optomechanical components. We know optics can be some of the most critical components in your experiments, so we've designed all our optics to be rugged, versatile, and easy to use.
Although many of our optics include novel features you can't get anywhere else, they are not specialty optics that you buy for one application and then leave on a shelf to gather dust. For example, our aspheric lenses come mounted in threaded lens holders labeled with focal length and equivalent for specialty mounts such as the Flipper™ mount, Opti-Claw™ mounts, prism mounts, and top mounts, as well as fiber aligners, multi-axis stages, and translation stages. NEW FOCUS is dedicated in bringing you Simply BetterTM Photonics.

Beam Pick Offs
These versatile pick-off optics are ideal for applications where you
want to monitor your laser beam — whatever the wavelength. Because the
wedge uses simple Fresnel reflection rather than a dielectric coating,
it operates over a wide wavelength range. And you can vary the pick-off
amount by changing the angle of incidence. Unlike commonly used optic
flats, the wedge prevents interference from the front and back
surfaces.

Use these versatile broadband polarizing beamsplitter cubes to separate
your laser beam into two orthogonally polarized components, to steer
the return beam away from the incident beam path (when used with a
quarter-wave plate), or even to couple the power from two sources into
one beam.
VIS and NIR models available.

These wheels contain a set of neutral-density (ND) filters mounted in a single easy-to-use unit. Each wheel includes six 1"-diameter filters. The filter positions are mechanically indexced for precise positioning and the filters are made with Inconel metallic coatings on glass substrate. These wheels are metric compatible.
Single and dual wheel models available. |

Made with Inconel® metallic coatings on glass substrates, these ND filters provide spectrally uniform attenuation over the wavelength range from 0.4 to 2.0 µm. The reflective nature of the coatings helps reduce thermal effects when these filters are used with moderate-power lasers.

Clarity™ fluorescence filters are ideal for microarray, DNA sequencing,
fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry and other fluorescence-based
applications. Based on a revolutionary filter technology that produces ultradense films, Clarity filters offer exceptional performance and reliability, which we back by a five-year product warranty on standard filters.
Excitation and Emission Filters, as well as Dichroic Beamsplitters available.

The Bookham™ terra-Q family of fiber-coupled
three-port add/drop multiplexers offers high
>25-dB adjacent-channel transmission isola-tion, accurate wavelength centering (on either the ITU grid or custom wavelengths), and low 1.0-dB insertion losses. Based upon thin-film interference-filter technology, the filters are ideal for a wide variety of DWDM, CWDM, and FTTX applications.

Bookham™
solla-Q thin-film-
filter chips
are ideal for
a wide variety of Dense Wavelength Division
Multiplexing (DWDM), Coarse Wavelength
Division Multiplexing (CWDM), and Fiber-To-The-“
X” (FTTX) applications.

UV Excimer Mirrors
These high-precision, flat, 45 degree turning mirrors are ideal for UV
laser-based applications including semiconductor manufacturing
(metrology and lithography) and micromachining applications. These optics are virtually free of
contamination and deliver superior performance with respect to
longevity and damage resistance for UV and DUV wavelengths.
Available in 363, 248, and 193 nm models and in 1", 1.5" and 2" sizes.

These mirrors can be used over a broad spectral range with better than 95% reflectivity from 450 nm to beyond 12 µm. Their proprietary silver-based coating makes them highly reflective from 0° to 45° and insensitive to polarization. Metal mirrors available are:
- General Purpose Silver Coated Mirror
- UV Enhanced Aluminum Mirror
|
|
These mirrors are designed specifically for use with high-power Nd:YAG lasers. Available models are:
- 1064-nm 1" Nd:YAG Mirror
- 532-nm Nd:YAG Mirror
- 1064-nm 2" Nd:YAG Mirror

At the interface between two calcite prisms, total internal reflection
takes place for one polarization state while the other is transmitted.
This proven Glan-Thompson design yields extinction ratios greater than
100,000:1 over a wide range of angles and for a broad spectral range.
Our Glan-Thompson polarizers are built into rotation stages, which
easily mount into standard 1" mirror mounts or rotary stages.
Available in VIS, NIR and VIS-NIR models.

Our Model 5511 general-purpose polarizers are perfect for those
in-between times when you need a polarizer with a large aperture and
acceptance angle, but you don't need the high extinction ratio (or the
expense) of a calcite polarizer. The laminated structure of these
polarizers makes them durable and perfect for low-power applications.

Our Berek's variable wave plates modify the polarization of collimated
beams from any state to any other state with the flexibility,
convenience, and precision previously found only in bulky and expensive
Soleil-Babinet compensators. The Model 5540 features true zero-order
retardance, minimal wavefront distortion, and beam displacement of less
than 150 µm-all at an economical price.
