Direct Modulated Lasers
Our buried heterostructure developed exclusively at Oclaro enables Electro Absorption modulator performance with directly modulated laser pricing and ease of use, all in an industry standard footprint. Our Buried Heterostructure laser architecture exhibits reach beyond traditional directly modulated rivals, with options for optical power, tuning range and integrated wavelength locker. EA Lasers
The Oclaro EML10 Laser is the first of a family of electro-absorption modulated lasers specifically designed for use in STM-64/OC-192 applications, with low dispersion penalty and high extinction ratio. This device is available in a hermetic 7-pin ceramic butterfly package with SMP/GPO connector for modulation input.

Mach-Zehnder Transmitters
The InP-based Mach-Zehnder modulators offer unprecedented levels of integration with functionality previously only achieved by 4 discrete components but now available in a single compact sized package. With a footprint no bigger than a typical directly modulated laser, and a reach in excess of 100km at 10.709Gb/s with no dispersion compensating fibre or EDC, the LMC10 is ideal for Regional Metro networks where 10Gb/s is required to be overlayed on to legacy 2.5Gb/s links..

Tunable Lasers
