BOOKHAM is proud to offer a line of state of the art Tunable Lasers under the New Focus™ brand. New Focus lasers are well-suited for telecommunications test and measurement applications ranging from telecommunications test and measurement to spectroscopy. Convenient mechanical mounting and the compact power supply make them easy to use. And, these self-contained solid-state lasers are packaged with their own thermo-electric (TE) coolers enabling them to operate over a wide temperature range from 10 to 35°C with stable output power. The power supply has all the applicable safety features, such as key-lock switch, emission indicator and remote connector.

Velocity™ Tunable Lasers, TLB-6300
Our highly popular TLB-6300 Velocity™ tunable laser delivers continuous tuning over a wide tuning range with excellent tuning resolution, narrow linewidth and low noise (40-dB side-mode-suppression ratio). As with all of our tunable lasers, these lasers are mode-hop-free over the entire specified tuning range and have easy-to-use interfaces.

DWDM Network Lasers
Ideally suited for use in a wide variety of DWDM systems, this provides the best combination of performance features available, offering a unique combination of high optical powers of over 20 mW, wide mode-hop-free tunability of 36 nm over the C band, and stability in harsh environments. The module includes an integrated wavelength locker, simple serial electrical interface, and a uniquely stable and reliable design including a built-in thermo-electric (TEC) cooler.
