BOOKHAM offers an MSA-compliant family of XFP modules for 10 Gb/s SONET/SDH, Ethernet, and Fibre Channel communications. The IGF Series of XFP modules currently feature singlemode fiber link lengths from 2 to 80 km, with excellent technical specifications that exceed the MSA minimum requirements.

XFP Transceivers
The XFP form factor was introduced by the XFP MSA group to decrease the cost, size, and power consumption of optical networks. In addition, the hot-pluggable characteristic of XFP modules drives improvement in operating expenses for service providers and enterprises. Bookham has been an early leader in XFP modules, and has been shipping these products since 2002. Bookham leverages its extensive experience in optical Tx and Rx design in conjunction with low cost manufacturing disciplines to deliver high performance, tried and tested solutions at competitive prices.

SFP Transceivers

Bookham provides leading edge 2.7Gb/s DWDM pluggable transceivers which are compliant either with the SFP DWDM MSA or the Hot Pluggable DWDM (lambdapak) MSA for longer reaches. These DWDM MSAs permit original equipment manufacturers and end-users to enjoy the benefits of hot pluggable transceivers in very dense DWDM applications. The family of transceivers enable flexibility in DWDM network engineering, including in-the-field wavelength engineering combined with unprecendented performance from a pluggable form factor..
