CPNB Boron - 10 Counter Tubes
The neutron sensitivity of these proportional
counters is achieved by coating of an electrode
with high enriched Boron-10. Thermal neutrons
react with the isotop Boron-10 emitting apha
particles, which produce ionization in the gas
filling of the detector (electrons and gas ions).
In the electrical field between the electrodes
these charged particles will be accelerated and
secondary ionization will happen. By the mean
of gas amplification the generated charge will
be multiplied proportional.
- Simple and rugged construction
- Detector may be supplied with or without cable
- Output sinal: charge pulses
- Very low Gamma sensitivity
- Temperature resistant up to 200°C

BM 250 Boron Meter
The Boron Meter BM 250 monitors the real concentration of
Boron 10 e.g. in the primary circuit of a PWR:
- Continuous monitoring
- Direct indication of ppm Boron
- Short response time
- No interference to the primary circuit

- Signal filtering with adaptive time constant
- Calibration to neutron flux signal (nv, P/Pn)
- Calculation of the flux change rate (= reciprocal of the reactor period)
- Generation of analog and binary signals for the reactor protection system
- Linear and/or logarithmic analog outputs
- Remote test signal generators
- Optional: calculation of the reactor reactivity

DWK 250 Digital Wide Range Channel
Neutron flux channel combining source and intermediate range.
- 10 to 12 decades of measurement range with
one detector only
- Combining pulse and RMS informations to the wide range signal
- Calibration into neutro flux units (nv, P/Pn)
- Filtering of the signal with an adaptive time constant
- Calculation of the relative flux change rate (reciprocal of the reactor period) for the
whole wide range

TK 250 NFM Digital Neutron Flux Channel
Digital signal processing solutions for safety related neutron flux applications.
Digital neutron flux measuring channels System
TK 250 are characterized
by efficient functions, useful procedures for
periodical testing, a comfortable operators
menue structure and a rugged operationial
behaviour. Hardware and software are arranged
in modules.
The internal multiprocessor structure offers the
flexibility of reducing the region of highest
safety relevance to a small, separated part
within the channel.
